Any good tips on how to change careers???

I have been in healthcare for 4yrs now, the field I am in now is %26quot;drying up%26quot; as we would say (meaning new oppurtunities are limited becuase of the overflow of new graduates) I am looking for a full time 1st shift position and it is almost impossible!! I need a career change ASAP!!! I am a single mother of two and willing to take anything decent. I like my career as a xray tech in Chicago, but in this field I have learned that experience hurts you!?!?! I just need a job to take care of my kids and I will be satisfied....Any types on changing careers with out going back to school?? I have applied and havent gotten a chance because all I know is xray!!Any good tips on how to change careers???
what about for the federal government like usps, etc. perhaps even get your foot in the door first. you can even try to have a business at home. i think it always best to have something to fall back on. check your local city or government office, etc. i see sometimes they have lots of positions open for civil service employees. best of luck.Any good tips on how to change careers???
