How do i get a recommendation when changing careers?

I want to go to school in the medical field after graduating from a school in art. I feel like im abandoning my art ways but im also interested in working in radiology or ultrasound since high school but dumb me i went to school for art. Some of the schools want me to send them letters of recommendation. how do i do that when I already went to school for different career? can i get them from friends or able to get them from high school? they might remember me. what should i do?How do i get a recommendation when changing careers?
It's probably better to get letters from your professors than from your friends. Your professors might not be in the medical field, but they can attest to what type of student you are.

Since you've been out of high school for four years, only ask for a recommendation from a h.s. teacher if they knew you very well and have a lot of good things to say about you. Since you aren't sure they remember you very well, it's probably not a good idea.
