Hi there and thanks for stopping by!
I have over 3 years experience in desktop and systems support but I am terribly bored with support. One area of my work I enjoy is writing scripts and so I've decided to change career and become a developer, Win32 and low-level development is of particular interest.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could achieve this career goal? I'm 31 and need the monthly paycheck of my current job so full-time education is out!
I eagerly await your responses.
Thanks,
TPHow to change career from support to programming?
Details? Being a programmer is not really for everyone.. I for one wanted to exclude that from my list of 'to be' but is seems i'll have to do it because I like it and i'm very interested in this.
Do you know C, C++ .. hmm Scripting languages? Depends on what you want to program... You could also apply for a job at Microsoft if low-level development is one of your interests :D.
