Anyone a x-ray Tech or Surgical Tech? I am interested in changing careers and would like more info.?

I am interested in changing careers and I am thinking in becoming a x-ray Technician or a surgical Tech. I was wondering if anyone are in the field at this moment could give advise on how they like there job, what are the prose and con's? What's there average salary or estimate? What school they went to? How long it took them to finish? Right now the job I am currently at I make ok money about 32 a year and I could advance myself but it will take acouple of years. I am not sure what one to choose, but I would like to chose something I enjoy being busy and moving around and of course I would like to make good money.Anyone a x-ray Tech or Surgical Tech? I'm an x-ray tech in Ontario..

I think it's great...lots of different options within the field...currently I just work in general radiology so I get to be involved in trauma, daily x-rays, portable x-rays and the operating room..

I know starting salary in Ontario is about $52000/year.



But I have also been told it is lower in the states, but in return you go to school for a shorter period of time and I've been told techs in the states know far less and are not as high quality as Canadian trained technologist.
