How to change career branch in sims 3?

I believe that when your Sim gets a high enough level into their career they can choose between two different branches. In the music career I think it's either Symphonic or Rock music (: When that choice comes up, pick Rock :) It appears in a blue window in the center of your screen, so its kind of hard to miss haha :P

If you've already chosen a branch, you can always get your Sim fired by skipping work or going late for a few days and they'll eventually get fired, but if you don't want to wait, you can just go to anything that lets you pick a job (Newspapers, computers, etc.) and find the job you want. It will ask you if your sure you want to change your career, and you can click yes. :)How to change career branch in sims 3?
Make your sim use a computer, a newspaper, or zoom out to see the city view. Select %26quot;search for a job%26quot; on the computer or newspaper, or in the city view, you can select jobs at the building where they would work.

Anyways, once you pick the music career track, it will say %26quot;Are you sure you wish to change careers?%26quot; or something like that... and you say yes.

OH! I reread your question and realized I misunderstood. ANYWAYS, to answer your question... eventually, you will get to pick which branch she follows. So just keep advancing, and you'll get thereHow to change career branch in sims 3?

Other information:

*Career tracks are now nonlinear. This means that even thought Sim1 and Sim2 enter both enter into Science, and both receive the same number of promotions, they may still not be performing the same job. This is because careers now branch off in different directions. What each career can branch into, nobody knows yet.

*The top of a career track is not the end. Even after achieving the final promotion, a sim can continue to gain raises and benefits if his or her performance continues to be high.
