How do I know when it is time to change career?

I've been working as a customer service coordinator and was hoping to become the manager of the department but they have assigned a manager so I feel that my outlook has changedHow do I know when it is time to change career?
There is no right or wrong time to change careers. It's when you decide you've had enough that you will move on.

Just the fact that you asked this question tells me you're ready for a change, so start doing research into other lines of work. Start thinking about what kind of life you want to live, then make a list of what your good at / passionate about and take it from there.

The world is full of options, you just have to find them and go after them.

There are some books I recommend to start you on a different journey, the first is %26quot;Secrets of the Millionaire Mind%26quot; by T Harv Eker...he is also one of the teachers of The Secret.

Anything by Joe Vitale will also help you change your mindset and find something that you would find fun and profitable.

It's all out there, you just have to go for it!How do I know when it is time to change career?

Do you still like your job? If so, don't change just re-organize your goals. Make your management aware of your goal to become manager of the department.

If you no longer like your job, the answer is in your feelings.

Probably time to move on. Now, do you move on to another company or within the company you are working for? Talk to your manager about your goals, feelings, and explain your current position. Then you will know if you need to move to another company. How do I know when it is time to change career?
I do not think it is time to change a job just because someone else was brought in to take a position you though was yours next.

What is the certainty that the new manager will last on that job?

unless you no longer enjoy what you do or there are other issues involved, this is not a good enough reason to change jobs.

Meanwhile hope you provide excellent service cos i hate to say it but most customer reps are in the wrong field.I had an encounter with a very rude Con Ed rep at 1a.m today
