Seeking advice on making a career change.?

Any advice on how to make a career change?

I am a social worker with a Master's degree and five years managerial experience in a health care setting. I want to change careers into something more creative such as writing, marketing, the arts, etc. Any advice on making the change and making my skills transferable to a different career?Seeking advice on making a career change.?
I think your social work experience and Master's degree will transfer well into anything that involves communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution.

This would be a good fit in Human Resources or Marketing (most reasonable transition). I think you should take some classes in Marketing or Human Resources and earn an certificate or something that validates your interest. But, since you already have a Masters degree, you may not have to do it. Just be sure to write down all your transferable skills on your resume when applying to positions in these fields. In writing, it may not be as easy a transfer unless you do a lot of report writing in your current job..which is possible for case reports. The arts is pretty difficult to transition since it would be a clear change and you would have to earn a Bachelors most likely in the Arts to change your career.

Best of luck.
