I have been working construction for 4 years and I want to change careers is it too late at age 27?

During this time I have turned down 2 jobs from people that said I should be doing something more with my life! I believed that working for myself was the answer and working for someone else would take away my freedom! As time passed I wish I could go back and accept one of those jobs especially the one with a good salary! I now feel as if my life has turned into exactly what I did not want! I cant see myself still living this way at 30! I went through what I now know was a long mid or quarter life crisis and I want to come out of it. Starting over at this age seems rediculous when everyone I know has a career, buying houses and on their way to marriage! I cant belive how quickly time went by and now it goes even quicker and all I can think is I need to do something more with my life!I have been working construction for 4 years and I want to change careers is it too late at age 27?
it's never too late to change careers.I have been working construction for 4 years and I want to change careers is it too late at age 27?
I would say: Go for it!

BUT,

be very careful and do some research first! Check job availability in your new career first BEFORE you enroll for expensive classes.I have been working construction for 4 years and I want to change careers is it too late at age 27?
It is never too late to change. Just do not get suckered into scam jobs or schooling that make promises they cannot keep.I have been working construction for 4 years and I want to change careers is it too late at age 27?

Good grief, you're only 27! You still have your whole future ahead of you! Go for it and do what the others said above - research your opportunities before making a decision! Also, just because you are in construction doesn't mean you haven't been doing something with your life up till this point, so don't let anyone else make you feel any differently. You have a skill, and have been able to use that in your profession. Be proud of that. And if you want change, consider all of the pros and cons when making your choice.

Good luck to you - you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders and will make a good decision!I have been working construction for 4 years and I want to change careers is it too late at age 27?
Never too late. Matter of fact, career changing is prevalent. The days of having the same career throughout our working lives is over.

Believe it or not, you're now going through your first Saturn Return. Saturn (planet) returns to the exact degree in your natal (horoscope) chart when you were born. It's considered the %26quot;Sobering%26quot; planet. It forces you to take stock of your life, stepping over a major threshold into the next stage of his/her life, and does so about every 28-30 years-30, 60, 90. You usually feel the effects of it a few years before your 30th.

Example and true: My Return was at 60 - when I retired and that was a major life change. Originally I hadn't planned on retiring at that age-but with family obligations I had no choice-and I have no regrets.
